Prayer is God’s invitation to man to cooperate with Him in accomplishing God’s plan in the earth. There is no substitute for it, and those who know the intimacy with God that prayer produces can testify that it is a wondrous enterprise.
One of the greatest discoveries I ever had while reading the New Testament was when I saw in its pages by revelation of the Holy Spirit that Jesus was not a preacher who prayed, but He was a PRAY-ER WHO PREACHED. I realized that the highest call of all was the call to God’s presence in prayer.
Prayer is not a monologue it is a dialogue. When we pray as Jesus taught his disciples to pray, we position ourselves to receive divine communication and instructions.
Prayer changes people, and empowers people to change things!
